JFS of Greater Hartford couldn’t do what we do without hundreds of dedicated volunteers. We offer one-off and recurring volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, friends, and other groups.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

JFS provides a wide range of volunteer opportunities in Greater Hartford. Some examples:

Food
Pantry

Assist clients as they shop in the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry at JFS, typically two to three hours a week.

Bar/Bat
Mitzvah Project

Create a personalized bar or bat mitzvah project. Click here to request more information.

Community
Garden

Tend Jessie’s Community Garden, which supplies seasonal produce to the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry.

Tutor JFS
Clients

Tutor JFS clients, or use your computer, photography, sewing, translation, music, and other skills to help JFS as needed.
