Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford (JFS) is committed to protecting your privacy and your personal information provided to us through www.jfshartford.org.

JFS only collects information via its website that is voluntarily submitted related to employment, volunteer and internship opportunities, and requests for information about JFS programs and services. Such information may include name, postal and email address, and phone and fax numbers. SMS opt-in consent data will not be shared with third parties.

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information you submit confidential. Information collected via the website is not shared outside the Agency, and it is used internally by those involved in hiring and referring clients for programs and services. Requests, inquiries or comments/concerns sent via the website are directed to the appropriate JFS individual or program.


JFS and Care at Home by JFS SMS Messaging Privacy Policy

Introduction

If you are a client, volunteer, or staff member of Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford (JFS) or Care at Home by JFS, from time to time, our staff may contact you by text regarding scheduling or other services-specific inquiries.

Your privacy is critically important to us. The following policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you opt-in to SMS messaging. By opting in to receive SMS messages, you agree to the terms outlined below, which follow the latest 2024 regulations under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Campaign Registry guidelines.

  • Message Interaction Data: Includes information such as delivery status, response data, and message engagement rates.

3. One-to-One Consent Requirement

In line with FCC regulations (March 2024), your SMS opt-in applies to communications from Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford and Care at Home by JFS only. Your consent to receive SMS messages is specific to our organization and does not extend to third-party organizations, businesses, or affiliates unless explicitly stated and separately agreed upon.

4. Message Frequency and Data Rates

You will receive no more than 50 messages per week and will likely receive far less. Please note that message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Donor Privacy Policy

Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford (JFS) is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors. JFS does not sell or share donor lists with external parties, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

Donors who supply JFS with their postal addresses or email addresses may be contacted periodically for solicitation purposes and/or with information regarding upcoming events.

If a donor does not wish to receive such communications, they may let us know at any time by contacting our office by phone, mail, or e-mail.
