JFS staff pick up bulk Passover staples from Elayne & James Schoke Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County. When the truck arrives in Hartford, JFS volunteers load the groceries into bags for individual families.

Each Passover, in addition to our usual services, the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry distributes more than 250 grocery bags filled with kosher-for-Passover essentials so our clients can observe the holiday with dignity and joy.

Our partners at the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and Elayne & James Schoke Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County provide hundreds of pounds of donated food.

Our staff loads the food and transports it all back to Hartford, where dedicated local volunteers unpack, sort, and assemble the bags for clients to pick up.

We are so grateful to everyone whose generosity makes this possible.
