West Hartford, Conn. (May 19, 2025) – JFS is pleased to announce that it has been selected as Nonprofit of the Year by the West Hartford Chamber.

The West Hartford–based health and human service agency also known as Jewish Family Services helped over 3,370 Greater Hartford residents build resilience and rediscover hope last year.

“JFS has been a keystone in the region for over a century,” said Chamber President and Chief Executive Officer Chris Conway. “The depth and breadth of their programs and resources have positively impacted countless neighbors from all corners of Greater Hartford. The West Hartford Chamber is proud to recognize JFS with this distinction.”

“We are so honored and humbled to receive this award from the West Hartford Chamber,” said JFS Chief Executive Officer Katie Hanley. “We want everyone in this community to know that JFS is here for you — regardless of your age, identity, or income level. We offer mental health services; the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry, which serves anyone in need; financial stability programs; in-home senior care; and more,” Hanley added.

The Nonprofit of the Year Award was one of ten awards announced at the Chamber’s Business After Hours event on Wednesday, May 14. The awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 24, which will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Farmington Polo Club.
