Donor Spotlight: Monthly Food Pantry Contributor Ellen Koch
The Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry at JFS is fueled by generous neighbors like Bloomfield resident Ellen Koch, who shows that monthly support can come in many forms. Ellen has been donating pantry essentials to JFS since 2020.
As her own family’s food expenses decreased, Ellen saw an opportunity to do more for others. When shopping in bulk, she picks up extra items for the JFS food pantry. Ellen treats her monthly shopping trips as a personal challenge; she aims to find the best prices on everyday essentials while also selecting a variety of nutritious options for pantry clients.
At left is a photo of Ellen’s latest Costco haul. While rising food prices are a practical constraint, Ellen’s generous spirit knows no bounds. Thank you, Ellen, for your continued support.
