West Hartford, Conn. (October 11, 2024) – Nancy Lichtenberg, LCSW, a psychotherapist with Jewish Family Services of Greater Hartford (JFS), is a recipient of Hartford Business Journal’s 2024 Healthcare Heroes Award. She is among 23 healthcare professionals and organizations statewide recognized this year for their outstanding leadership and positive impact.
A West Hartford resident, Lichtenberg has over 33 years of experience working in social service agencies, 22 of those as a psychotherapist with JFS. She has counseled a wide variety of individuals and couples seeking help with emotional, relationship, and family issues. Lichtenberg has special training in a clinical model called Internal Family Systems (IFS). She also counsels divorcing and divorced parents in co-parenting.
“With all we have endured as a community over the past few years, we have become more aware of the need for mental health services and support,” said JFS CEO Katie Hanley. “Everyone deserves access to a therapist as skilled, dedicated, and compassionate as Nancy Lichtenberg. It’s an honor to work with someone so committed to helping others thrive at a time when it is needed most.”
Lichtenberg and other award recipients will be celebrated at a festive dinner on Thursday evening, November 7, in Farmington, Connecticut.
