The emotional needs of older adults are different than those of younger and middle age adults.
The highly regarded Jewish Family Services Older Adult Program offers individual counseling to individuals and couples over 60 experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, evolving relationships, life transitions, and loneliness. Participants in older adult therapy are often able to reduce their symptoms, feel supported, and engage more fully in their lives.
In addition, the program provides information on area resources for older adults and their family members. Program staff give presentations on issues impacting older adults at local senior centers and senior housing communities. Early Memory Loss Support is also available at JFS, in partnership with Hebrew Health Care.
