Kim Whittingham, LPC

Children, Adolescents, and Families

A graduate of the University of Hartford Clinical Psychology Program, I work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families. I have experience working with diverse populations in residential and outpatient settings using a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, and play therapy. As therapists, we have an ability to reach people at this level where we can do so much good, and that has always felt like a calling to me. One of my strengths is that of bringing a bit of humor into the session at the appropriate time, making the atmosphere lighter while being beneficial. I take a non-judgmental approach so clients feel they are people rather than patients. I am available to see clients Tuesday through Friday and Thursday evenings until 8:30. I am also willing to see clients during morning hours before the parent’s workday.
